What this site is
PrepProviders compares CFA®, FRM® and CPA exam prep providers and refers you to them. We read each provider's own pricing pages, product pages and terms, record what every package includes with the date we read it, and, for the CFA exams, match you to the closest package through a short quiz. We sell nothing. When you buy, you buy from the provider at the provider's own price.
Who runs it
PrepProviders is run by its two founders through PrepProviders Ltd, company number 17506020, registered in England and Wales. Its registered office is Celtic House, 11-12 Neptune Court, Vanguard Way, Cardiff, CF24 5PJ, United Kingdom. One of us passed Level I of the CFA Program and is a Level II candidate, so the choice this site helps with is one we have made ourselves, more than once, late at night with an exam date getting closer.
We have not sat every course, and we do not pretend to. What we have done is the reading. Where a comparison rests on a provider's own figures we say so, and where it rests on an estimate of ours we say that too.
How it is paid for
Some providers pay us a commission when you buy. Those links are marked. Today that is AnalystPrep, Bionic Turtle and Mark Meldrum. Every other provider on the site pays us nothing and is compared in the same way. Whether a provider pays plays no part in the quiz or in any table. Lists run A to Z. How we research
So far we have read 51 packages from 5 providers for the CFA exams, across all three levels, 18 packages from 3 providers for the FRM exam, across both parts, and 26 packages from 5 providers for the CPA Exam, for the full exam and for one section. Every figure comes from a provider's own pages and shows the date we read it. Nothing comes from a review site, a forum or another comparison site. An estimate is always marked as one and never counts for or against a provider. The method is on the how we research page, and the rules behind the quiz are on the how the match works page.
What we will not do
- Say we have used a course we have not used.
- Repeat a provider's own pass rate, because nobody outside the provider can check it.
- Sell a placement, a ranking or a mention.
- Ask for your email address, set a cookie, or load anything from an advertising network.
- Hide how we are paid. Some providers pay us a commission, and every page with such a link says so beside it.
