Want every package, not one per provider? Compare prices by part, filtered by what you need.

Each mix bar is worked out from a package's hours of video, pages of notes, questions and mocks. Where a provider does not publish a figure, such as the length of its notes, we estimate it from the provider's own pages and mark the mix as estimated. So treat the bars as a guide to what a package is made of, not as exact measures. Where a provider publishes none of the four figures, there is no bar.

We read the pricing pages. You read one table.

Three providers sell FRM prep worldwide, and each one describes its packages in its own words on its own pages. We put those words side by side, with the dates, so you can choose in minutes instead of an evening.

  1. 1Pick your part

Part I and Part II are sold separately by every provider, and priced differently. The switch above the table shows one at a time.

  2. 2Read across, not down

Each row is one provider's entry course: its price with the date we checked it, how long access lasts, and what the package is built on.

  3. 3Go deeper where it matters

The head-to-heads set two providers side by side on access, support, mocks and questions. Each provider's own page lists every package it sells.

GARP gives you the curriculum. Here is what a course adds.

Included with your registration

From GARP, with your Part I registration:

  • GARP Learning for Part I, with practice questions
  • Two practice exams for each part
  • The curriculum readings, on the platform or as printed books sold separately
What a prep course adds
  • Condensed notes, so there is less to read
  • Taught lessons, by video or in a live class
  • Many more practice questions, with worked answers
  • More mock exams in the real format
  • A study plan built around your exam date
  • Someone to ask when you are stuck

240

hours is what GARP says candidates typically spend preparing. Its Part II study platform and its printed books are sold separately, at $250 and $300 a part.

The three providers, A to Z.

One page each: every package for Part I and Part II, prices with the date we checked them, what is included and what is not.

We read the small print, so you do not have to.

So far that is 18 packages from 3 providers, across both parts. Every Part I price was checked on or after 30 Oct 2026. More are added as we check them.

What we do for every package

  1. Read the provider's own pricing page and what each package includes.
  2. Note how long access lasts and what happens if you need to resit.
  3. Record the price with the date, and the page it came from.
  4. Check it again, and change the date only when we have looked.

One of us is a CFA Level II candidate, so we know what choosing a course under exam pressure feels like. Neither of us has sat the FRM, which is why every figure here is the provider's own, with its date.

What we have not done. We have not sat every course. We say what each comparison is built from, and we do not repeat a provider's own pass rate, because nobody outside can check it. More about us.

Questions candidates ask

Which FRM prep providers do you compare?

AnalystPrep, Bionic Turtle and Kaplan Schweser: the three that sell FRM prep online, worldwide, in English. GARP lists 27 exam preparation providers, and most of the rest are classroom schools in India and China. We add a provider once we have read its own pricing pages and terms.

How do you make money?

Some providers pay us a commission when you buy. Those links are marked. A link that pays us is marked "Paid link". Providers that pay us nothing are compared in exactly the same way, and lists run A to Z.

Do I need a prep course for the FRM?

Not everyone does. GARP gives every registrant its Part I learning platform with practice questions and two practice exams for each part, and sells the Part II platform and printed books separately. A course adds condensed notes, taught video, many more questions, mock exams in the real format, a plan and someone to ask. We show what each course adds to what you already have.

Why is there no mix bar for Bionic Turtle?

Because it does not publish the figures the bar needs. Bionic Turtle states no video hours or notes pages, and we will not guess, so its rows show the price, the access and what the package is built on. Kaplan Schweser states its questions and mocks, and its bar rests on our estimates of its class hours and notes, marked as estimates.

Is there a quiz for the FRM?

Not yet. The CFA quiz matches you to a package from eight answers, but one FRM provider publishes none of the figures it needs and another only some, so a match would lean on the one that does. For three providers, the comparison on this page and the three head-to-heads do the same job.

How current are the prices?

Every price shows the date we last checked it against the provider's own page. Prices and promotions move, so look at the provider's page before you buy.
