Who it suits
By the quiz's rules, Kaplan Schweser comes first most often for candidates who put mocks first, who asked for a plan, and who have an open or employer budget that reaches the Premium and Ultimate tiers. It is the provider in our data that states printed books, from the Premium tier, which matters to a candidate who studies on paper.
Where it is thin
- Basic has no notes and no instructor, on its own pages. It is video, questions, two mocks and a planner.
- An instructor to ask, and live classes, come only with Ultimate, from $1,499.
- Its video hours, note pages and question counts are our estimates, because its pages give several different figures or none.
- The Level III prices rest on a December 2025 archive, and the live page could not be read.
Our take
Kaplan Schweser is the course most candidates have heard of, and the tier ladder is the reason it fits so many budgets and also the reason it so rarely comes first in the quiz on price alone. The thing it does that few others do is give every tier a planner, and the Premium and Ultimate tiers the most mocks we have found. If you want to be told what to do each week and will pay for the tier that includes the help you need, it is a sound choice.
What we cannot tell you is how long its materials take, because Kaplan's own pages disagree with themselves. Every hours figure on this site for Kaplan is marked as ours.

What do the Kaplan Schweser tiers add?
Basic is video lessons, a question bank, two mocks and a planner. Essential adds the SchweserNotes and more mocks. Premium adds more video and printed books. Ultimate adds an instructor to ask and live classes. The price more than triples from Basic to Ultimate.
Does Kaplan Schweser include an instructor?
Only at the Ultimate tier, by its own pages, from $1,499 at Level I. The three cheaper tiers state no instructor access.
Are Kaplan Schweser's figures stated or estimated?
Mostly our estimates. Its Level II page gave three different video totals in three places, and it gives no page count for the notes and no exact question count. We mark every such figure, and the quiz scores Kaplan on them with that mark.
How current are the Kaplan Schweser Level III prices here?
They come from a December 2025 archived copy of Kaplan's own page, because the live page blocks automated reading. The date is shown wherever they appear.
